Katie Dempster Partner
Katie joined the partnership in 2021. Katie spent 10 years prior to AFS working at EY Australia as part of the Risk Advisory practice. Katie has worked across a variety of industries delivering risk advisory, internal audit and business process improvement consulting in Australia and overseas.
Industries which Katie has worked with have included large commercial and manufacturing companies, federal, state and local government agencies and not for profit organisations.
Katie is passionate about process efficiency and risk management across all forms and complexities, including governance, financial and operational. With a background in Human Resources and Psychology, this extends to organisational culture and the importance and impact of the people which make up an organisation.
After moving home to Bendigo from Melbourne in 2018 to raise her family, Katie is committed to building the capability of our region and regional communities across Victoria, which includes offering her time to assist and volunteer for not for profit Board and Committee roles.
Katie now specialises in working with government agencies, with a focus on health and community services, spending over 12 years partnering with a broad range of these organisations. Katie has extensive understanding of how health service, not for profit and community service organisations operate and what best practice looks like across a huge spectrum of processes, including clinical practice.
